I need help with the below requirement:
Candidates MUST be at least EAD or GC holder. We can use H1's but they must be getting their green card within 6 months from date of hire. This is a contract to hire position.

**Production deploys and automation through scripting. More support than build.

Team : AIX / Middleware
Team Size : 4, includes this role. This is the only specific JBOSS person. Other 3 know the websphere inside and out
Start : ASAP

Important Skills
Tech - scripting and troubleshooting through reading logs and having a good foundation to find resources and solve problem. JBOSS
Soft - tight knit. Team player, comm skills. Work with someone remote
Interview Process : phone and onsite
Notes : Great at building environ from ground up, but now its more support and maintenance. Someone that has his skills and scripting exp. BUT NOT PROD SUPPORT. Still building new apps and deployments. Trying to advance environments. Websphere is not completely phased out… just preferred, not required. Scripting Shell is preferred. In order of preference : shell, then perl, then bash.
Tech Environment Size : 100 linux/VMware servers. About 75 of those have JBOSS.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Education:
· 5+ years of JBoss Application Server administration on Red Hat Linux
· Experience with large scale J2EE JBoss deployments
· Experience with JBoss mod_clustering and performance tuning
· Experience providing guidance to less experienced application administrators
· Strong experience in creating/maintaining application deployment automation scripts using Perl, Bash, Shell Scripts, ect.
· BS in Communications Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or another IT related curriculum
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Education:
· JBoss Certified Application Administrator (JBCAA) - must be able to explain exp and go through a tech review. Need to know at the level of supper/
· 2+ years JBoss Operations Network (JON)
· Experience with Active Directory and/or LDAP
· Experience with Red Hat Linux
· Experience with JBoss in a Linux/VMware environment.
Additional Information:
· On call and after hours maintenance support required
Day to day
Deploying 7 new apps this week alone, all coming from websphere to jboss. New app deployments about 6 every 2 weeks to one month. The rest is support and maintenance.
