Front End Java/UI Developer

Lowell, MA

This position requires a developer with strong expertise in Java, object-oriented design and UI technologies, able to work with customized components, various visual representations, and conversant with several design patterns; including MVC, MVP and MVVM. Typically, assigned tasks will start with UI visual designs/prototypes and implement necessary features to integrate with the business models. The end result is completely functional UI that supports end-to-end business flows.

Experience with Java web service development and web based client UI development required. Technologies needed include Advanced Java knowledge (core Java, multi-threading, generics, annotations, etc.), JavaScript frameworks (like AngularJS), HTML5, and Flex/ActionScript. Candidate must have working experience with Eclipse and JavaScript development IDE's like IntelliJ WebStorm. Candidate must also be comfortable working in Macintosh, Unix and Windows PC environments.

A successful candidate must possess a consistent track record of successfully developing, refactoring and delivering client-side user interfaces, primarily using Java RESTful web services and web technologies (HTML5 + CSS + JavaScript). Passionate about user interface and committed to excellence. Highly motivated, hardworking, focused and equally comfortable in an enterprise application or startup environment.
