Job Title : Java Developer
Location : Atlanta, GA
Duration : 9 months
JOB Description - Develop and maintain java based applications utilizing the following technologies.
· 7+ years core Java SE with good knowledge of or experience with:
· Strong OOP/OOA/design patterns knowledge & experience
· should *know*: Singleton, Provider, Factory, Builder, Decorator, Proxy patterns very well.
· Spring/Guice dependency injection/AOP, MVC
· Comfortable with Ant, Maven, Eclipse build tool chains
· Comfortable with Git and Subversion
· Groovy or experience with alternative jvm language confidence in ability to learn Groovy language
· Experience working with free open-source java frameworks
· Experienced troubleshooter (heapdumps, logging, debugging, searching opensource library repos, sniffers, etc)
· Comfortable with Iterative (agile) development, and working with loosely defined requirements
· Experience/know-how for provisioning public/private cloud virtual-machines with applications and their dependencies
· 3+ years with cross-section of java technologies - at least 1/2 of:
· Java Servlets (Tomcat / Jetty containers)
· xml/json marshaling JAXB,
· JAX-WS/JAX-RS, (Apache CXF & Restlet experience highly desired)
· JMS and/or AMQP (especially RabbitMQ),
· JNDI/JMX, slf4j, log4j/logback
· JDO/JPA/Hibernate, JDBC,
· HTTPClient, SSL, Keystores
Competent with working in unix shell & basic scripting
Highly desired:
· Experience with Apache Camel / Fuse Source ESB / Jolokia / Apache CXF/ Restlet / ActiveMQ
· Experience embedding "container" technologies (like Jetty, EJB) custom jars
· Expert understanding of different load-balancing solutions for applications in cloud environments
· Experience with applications that support "dynamic" loading of code, like APaaS type development
· Experience with one or more key-value or columnar NoSQL technologies (especially Riak & Cassandra)
· Experience developing "platforms" and "frameworks" for applications from multiple external teams to build apps of
· Experience with using in-memory caching system like Memcache, JBoss cache, or Hazelcast
· Strong Linux System Administration skills
· Strong load-testing skills (prefer JMeter, SOAP-UI)
· Strong build-automation skills (Hudson / Jenkins / advanced Maven)
· Experience with Rally Agile planning software
Added plusses:
Knowledge or experience with any of the following could prove significantly useful: BPEL, HawtIo, BPMN, OpenEJB, TomEE, WebSockets, STOMP, Chef, Scala, Akka, AspectJ, OSGI
