Our client is in need of a strong JAVA/.NET Developer for a long term project. They require someone who is strong on both JAVA and .NET equally.
Location: Parsippany, NJ ***MUST be local NJ candidates only – client is doing final F2F interviews***
Duration: 12 months or longer
COMMUNICATION SKILLS ARE VERY IMPORTANT
Purpose of Position: This position will be responsible for developing a state of the art online policy administration and quoting system.
Essential functions and responsibilities would include but are not limited to:
· Designs and develops programming applications in an agile development environment.
· Works with end users; and translates business requirements in to state of the art technical solutions.
· Works with other teams and specialists within the organization.
· Identify the scope of an area of development work, to recognize and understand the potential impact on other areas and to provide accurate time estimates to a successful project completion.
· Provides development support to existing applications
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in computer science, management information systems or mathematics
Skills/Experience:
Required:
- 4 + years of experience in application design and development in Java and .Net
- Must be a team player with the ability to work independently as well as collaborate with other teams
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to produce clear and concise documentation
- Experience working with end users
- Travel Domestic/International less than 10%
Required Technical Competencies:
Java: J2EE, JSF, Spring, Hibernate, CSS, JSON, XML, XSLT, JavaScript, AJAX, JQUERY, OO Design & OO Programming, Eclipse IDE, Junit, RESTful Web Services
.NET: ASP. NET, Windows Forms, Windows Services, WCF, Visual Studio 2010/12, MS-SQL Server 2008/2012, T-SQL, Version control and change management
Preferred Technical Competencies:
Java: Tamino XML Database
.NET: Object Relational Mapping Concepts: nHibernate or Entity Framework, Infragistics
Automated testing (TestComplete or similar)
