 Title: Business Process Analyst/Modeler

Location: Denver, CO

Duration: 6 Months

 

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and articulate customer issues and translate them into business requirements or data metrics.
  • Lead workshops, interviews and other information gathering activities specifically to derive process structure and measures
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of the customers operations and assigned functional areas.
  • Prepare and deliver reports, recommendations, or alternatives for improving processes in operating systems
  • Act as a liaison between business units and data warehouse team relative to operational processes and supporting data.
  • Perform return on investment analysis for proposed changes to aid management in making implementation decisions.
  • Develop new or improved processes based on findings and analysis.
  • Communicate process changes, enhancements, and modifications – verbally or through written documentation – to management, peers, staff, and other employees so that issues and solutions are understood.
  • Create process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to various levels of information consumers.
  • Develop plans and timeframes for process changes in order to support company objectives.

Qualifications

  • College degree in the field of computer science or information technology
  • 5+ years Business Process Analyst work experience
  • Familiar with architecture and process modeling tools
  • Proven experience with business and technical requirements analysis, business process modeling/mapping, methodology development, and data modeling
  • Must have experience coordinating business users, technical staff, and architects to help analyze and define future needs and operations based upon use case and architectural analysis of alternatives
  • In-depth knowledge of business process design and re-engineering
  • Strong experience in leading and conducting requirements gathering sessions
  • Ability to review and write technical documents
  • Familiar with Six Sigma and Lean preferred
  • Knowledgeable about ITIL preferred
  • Experience participating in the design, development, and implementation of software and hardware solutions, systems, or products.
  • Ability to apply statistical and other research methods into systems issues and products as required.
  • Able to exercise independent judgment and take action on it.
  • Excellent analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Visio
  • Strong customer service orientation.
