Title: Professional Development Instructor
Location: Taylor, TX
Duration: 6+ Months
Rate: DOE
Essential Job Duties
• Reviews and revises existing program concepts, strategies, and instructional materials to continuously advance the training program.
• Conducts training needs assessments, including conferring with management and staff, to identify specific skill/knowledge gaps and training objectives.
• Collaborates with other departments to ensure that course content and materials reflect current specifications and to obtain information on new processes and programs.
• Designs, develops and maintains assessment tools to evaluate effectiveness of training.
• Generates creative and innovative training concepts and methods and works with team to turn them into realities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Assess training needs for new and existing employees
• Identify internal and external training programs to address competency gaps
• Organize, develop or source training programs to meet specific training needs
• Facilitate learning through a variety of delivery methods including classroom instruction, virtual training, on-the-job coaching
• Track and report on training outcomes
• Evaluate and make recommendations on training material and methodology
• Keep current on training design and methodology

Education
• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Education or Training & Development, Instructional/Curriculum Design, Instructional Technology, Technical Communications, or similar discipline required.
Work Experience
• Minimum of two years experience with Adult training and/or Professional Development Instruction
• Minimum of two years experience delivering instructor-led coursework.
• Proficient with MS Office application suite (especially PowerPoint)
• Demonstrated excellence in communication and writing skills
• Demonstrated knowledge of adult learning theory and training methodologies
