GIS Analyst with Oil and GAS Industry

Location: Bakersfield, CA

Duration: 12+ months

 

Exp: 5 +

-          Comprehensive knowledge of GIS and spatial science concepts

-          Experience with ArcGIS desktop, Server, SDE (version 10.0 and higher)

o   Create/update ArcMap documents

o   Create/update/publish map, Geoprocessing, other GIS web services

o   Create/update/publish web map applications using web ADF framework

o   Manage/administrate SDE using Sql Server

o   Support business users with general ArcGIS Desktop/other GIS applications questions

o   Must be updated with ESRI' GIS products and functionality updates – the current project is interested in updating or utilizing ESRI' time slider or animation functionality to make use of the updated animation (show change in features over a period of time) effects

-          Experience with FME (Feature Manipulation Engine)

o   Create/update FME jobs and automate them using windows task scheduler

-          Experience with Silverlight and/or JavaScript or other industry standard APIs

o   Create/update/publish applications using Silverlight viewer for ESRI' ArcGIS

-          Basic knowledge or experience with SharePoint

o   Edit web parts or create web pages

-          GIS Development experience is a plus

o   .Net experience would be helpful –

-          Experience with Agile methodology

o   Thorough with SDLC concepts

-          Good communication skills

o   Provide training or presentations or technical sessions to business users in GIS

o   Must be eloquent in communication, esp. with the business users in providing solutions

-          Work experience with Oil and Gas domain and different departments or teams within Oil industry namely, HES, Land, EMC, Facility, ADT (Asset Development Team), Technical Team

-          Must be able to work independently and within a team setting

-          Important to maintain business decorum
