Job Title: SQL BI Project Manager

 

Location: Issaquah, WA

 
Duration: 3-6+ months

 

Description:

Required BI skills:
Good technical background in DB design with SQL Server
Experience with large BI systems including ETL, data warehouse and reporting
Sound knowledge of Microsoft BI stack capabilities
Proficient in writing and running SQL queries
Data modeling skills - conceptual and logical data models
Experience working in enterprise data warehouse projects understanding the interdependencies between upstream and downstream systems.

Responsibilities:
Requirements gathering and analysis:
?? Identifying business / product / systems application needs, planning and defining the solution/product scope
?? Managing requirements [Eliciting, Analyzing, Evaluating, Documenting & establishing traceability]
?? Experience in SFE is a big plus

Prepare for UAT:
?? Write test scripts. This should include business facing process scripts and backend SQL query scripts.
?? Set up detail schedule
?? Review test scripts with stakeholders
?? Update and manage test scripts working with Field IT

Help Manage UAT:
?? Support kick off and training meetings
?? Attend triage calls (Americas/Asia)
?? Triage and assign issues raised in the triage. 
?? Execute backend test scripts (non-Field testing).


Skills:
?€¢ Analytical and ability to understand business process
?€¢ Business Acumen
?€¢ Proficient in writing and running SQL queries
?€¢ Good trouble shooting skills
?€¢ Familiar with Word, Excel and Power Point

Secondary skills:
?€¢ End to end program management across different phases of SDLC
?€¢ Schedule & budget management
?€¢ Risks & Issues management
?€¢ Process oriented to define and adhere to defined processes

General:
?€¢ Good at working with multiple stakeholders with diverse backgrounds (technical and non-technical).
?€¢ Ability to multi task and work in a fast paced environment.
?€¢ Good at verbal and written communications
?€¢ Able to facilitate meetings/discussion with multiple stakeholders.
?€¢ Able to present point of view and influence decisions
