Role: IT - QA Lead (E-commerce Experience is must)

Location: Minneapolis, MN

Duration: 6+ months

 

What are the MUST have skills that you are looking for in a candidate?

1.            Must have Agile Experience

2.            Must have led a team of 5 or more QA Analysts

3.            Ability to define and build test plans

4.            Build and Validate Acceptance Criteria

5.            Verify and validate Bug Fixes

6.            Experience testing e-commerce web applications

7.            Experience working with the business and driving the UAT Project

 

What are the technologies and the depth of the technologies that a candidate must have in order to be successful in this role?

1.            Jira – Bug Tracking

2.            Experience working with Automation Tools (ITKO Lisa for server virtualization)

 

What are the soft skills that you feel candidates must-have in order to be successful in this role?

1.            Solid attention to detail / Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

2.            Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

3.            Not Afraid to ask questions

4.            Strong Presentation Skills

1.            Describe your Ecommerce testing experience.

2.            Agile development SDLC. What did you do and what were the results?

3.            Describe your product team testing background?

4.            How do you keep current with emerging trends, tools, and technologies in the software industry?

5.            What do you do to ramp up in a new team and get aligned with testing practices within a team?

 

Responsibilities/Deliverables that the resource will be responsible for:

•             Testing product in Agile environment

•             Define & Build Test plans and operating model with the interfacing teams

•             Build Acceptance criteria along with scrum team

•             Validate acceptance criteria / test execution

•             Ability to manage testing in large organization

o             Functional

o             Integration

o             Performance

o             User Acceptance

•             Work with software developers to develop test specifications and build test cases to rigorously test product functionality and investigate all potential product test failures.

•             Follow company standards for software tools and assist in automated testing.

•             Verify and validate bug fixes.

•             Determine appropriate tools and techniques for test planning, execution and reporting

•             Document test procedures to ensure replicability.

•             Identify and test areas impacted by software changes.

•             Perform product specific regression tests.

•             Strong aptitude for learning new technologies and methodologies

•             Previous test case authorizing experience

•             Previous test case execution experience

•             Management of defects experience

 

What would a normal day for this position look like??

•             Code that will need to be tested

•             Checking Jira for backlogs and seeing what stories have a status of Test

•             Identity data, who to reach out to for the data, execute test scripts, write test scripts to meet the acceptance testing criteria

•             Make sure environments are ready

•             Must be flexible throughout the entire day regarding testing times and expectations for the business
