Java Developer

Raleigh NC

6+months

6-8yrs and financial background is a must

 

Please note: This is one of three java roles available for this manager. We will get feedback and schedule interview immediately.

 

• Good understanding of Java collections, including the various implementations and the pros/cons of each implementation

• Experience engineering solutions within complex software systems (i.e. not just glorified web developers)

• Ability to write Java code with a focus on performance and concurrency

• Passion for identifying and solving complex problems

 

- Strong Java Developer skills with a minimum of 7 years of experience

- Hands on experience with core Java and/or Java Swing

- Database and SQL programming knowledge

- Knowledge of message oriented programming (publish / subscribe)

- Very strong understanding of concurrent programing

- Understanding of Design Patterns

- Knowledge of dynamic languages is a plus (Perl, Groovy, JavaScript)

- Understanding of OS and Network fundamentals

- Knowledge of Financial markets

- Ability to collaborate with QA & Deployment teams to ensure successful deliver

 

The role will involve design and architecture in addition to writing software, integrating with other systems, and overseeing successful delivery into Production of solutions for the platform. Strong Core Java programming skills with expertise in multi threading and low latency solutions is essential, and UNIX & SQL are beneficial skills.
