Position: Informatica / ETL Developer
Location: Quincy, MA
Duration: 9+ months

Work Authorizations US citizens and those authorized to work in the US are encouraged to apply. We are unable to sponsor visa candidates at this time.

IN PERSON INTERVIEW REQUIRED.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 7-8 years of experience in database development
• Thorough knowledge of data warehouse principles and techniques specifically dimensional data modeling.
• Exceptional Oracle SQL skills. Hands on experience with set based operations, analytic functions and query hints.
• Command of data warehouse modeling concepts is required
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Proficiency with Linux and shell scripting.

• Experience working with a large, multi-terabyte data warehouse.
• Experience with Perl, system administration, database administration, storage architectures, backup & recovery and networking.
• Technophile with command of the command line.

SPECIFIC DUTIES

• Understand and translate business requirements into Data Warehouse solutions.
• Create data models and designs to meet specific business needs that require sourcing data from multiple source systems.
• Code ETL scripts that will extract data from an operational database and populate the staging and Client data warehouse schemas.
• Document code and processes for distribution to all interested parties.
• Document design using industry standard artifacts for documenting data warehouse designs.
• Provide query writing support and tuning expertise to analysts and end users.
• Previous experience with ETL tools, preferable Informatica
• Develop shell scripts for production job automation.
• Work in a 24x7 environment which requires on-call rotation.
