Requirements Details:

Position: .NET Developer (ASP.NET / C#) * Contract
Location: Waltham, MA 
Term: 12 month contract (could be extended) 

Are you detailed in your knowledge of the technology you use? Do you make informed decisions? Do you question the things you do or are you satisfied with the status quo? If you answered yes to these questions then this job might be right for you! Our client is in need of hiring an experienced .NET Programmer to join their team on a 12 month contract assignment to start (this could end up being a multi-year contract. We have a current consultant that has worked here for 3 years). 

The technology focus of this project will be using C#, ASP.NET /ASP.NET MVC and SQL. 

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBLITIES: 
*Develop new or maintain existing programs based on clients' specifications. 
*Develop, implement and maintain unit tests of programs. 
*Participate in requirements gathering and definition. 
*Participate in the design of new or changing programs and producing requisite specifications. 
*Participate in functional test planning for the assigned application, functional area or project 
*Participate in problem solving for the assigned application, functional area or project 
*Share knowledge by effectively documenting work 
*Maintain expert level of knowledge in area of expertise 
*Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of the assigned application or functional area 
*Work with the team to ensure the quality of coordinated business functions. 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS and SKILLS: 
*Demonstrated expertise in MS .NET 2.0; ASP.NET / ASP.NET MVC ; C# Code behind; SQL Server 2005; UML 
*Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
*College degree or equivalent work experience 
*Ability to work on multiple projects and be flexible to adapt to any given situation 
*Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing to all levels of the organization 
*Exceptional customer service attitude and interpersonal skills
