Requirements Details:

Role:BackEnd(java) Developer
Location: Princeton,NJ

Duration: 6+ months

The developer will be working with the back-end of an existing application, bringing in data sets and modifying stored procedures to incorporate new calculations and formulas to generate new data that is needed by the application.  The developer will also need to modify an existing VBA Excel Template to incorporate the new data into generated Excel Spreadsheets.

 

We need someone who can grasp complex concepts quickly.  The ideal developer will bring a blend of front-end and back-end skills and experience; however the backend experience (SQL stored procedures) is the biggest requirements, the VBA experience second.

 

If the candidate has worked with different technologies (Java in particular, PHP would be nice), then they would be the candidate that we would be looking for to bring on full-time.

 

Here is a list of the requirements in order of priority:

1. Very strong (Expert) SQL experience, in particular in database programming (stored procedures, functions, triggers, etc).  Strong preference given to MySQL

2. Strong VBA experience, in particular developing VBA in Excel

3. Strong Java experience, in particular with Spring and Web Services - nice to have

4. HTML / Javascript experience

5. Knowledge of PHP

6. Agile development experience (Scrum, Kanban)

7. Knowledge of Data Warehousing, Analytics, Star Schema
