Looking for Web Developer - Washington, DC

We currently have a Long Term Contracting opportunity for a Web Developer with our client located in Washington, DC.

Our client a Fortune 500 Media Company is developing software to make the TV viewing experience more personal, intuitive, searchable and customizable.  

Description:

Experienced Web Developer with extensive object-oriented programming experience and strong knowledge of DOM, MVC, and cross-browser compatibility to join our team. If you have strong development experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript (and familiarity with common JS libraries such as jQuery, Angular, Bootstrap, etc), and experience integrating with REST/JSON services.  

Must Have Skills:

-Ability to write Javascript based MVC application from ground up using a REST backend

-Strong knowledge of Javascript and popular Javascript MVC frameworks

-HTML expertise including knowledge of the DOM
-Strong CSS skills
-Knowledge of object-oriented programming using Javascript and familiarity with common Javascript libraries
-Understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues
-Understanding of test driven development in an agile software environment
-Strong written and verbal communication skills

Nice to Have Skills:
-Graphical design experience

- Target browser is Chrome, but Safari support is a plus.  I.e. is irrelevant.
-Familiarity with Java
-Web development experience in a software development environment, interactive agency, design firm or web-publishing environment
-BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
