Need Wintel Vmware Citrix Admin
Location: TX
Duration:6months
VMWare
· VMware vSphere 4.1 and higher (ESX and ESXi).
· VCloud Director
· VMware Site Recovery Manager (SRM)
· VMware View (Work from Home (VDI)).
· Administering Veeam.
· Provision physical/virtual servers and enterprise storage/storage area network.
· Hands-on experience on Vranger backup software.
· Monitoring and Performance analysis on ESX Servers and VMs
· Patching of ESX severs and VMs with VMware Update manager.
· Adequate Knowledge of Windows/LINUX platform and strong fundamentals Strong Knowledge & Experience on VMWare ESX and GSX servers and tools like P2V/ Virtual center.
· Good Understanding of trouble shooting & Linux and Windows Commands Good understanding of file systems.
· General Knowledge of Storage, Networking and backup software.
· Good Experience of Linux and windows security.
· Strong concepts of TCP / IP Knowledge of SAN.
Citrix
· Prepare Citrix designs based upon a varying level of complexity, redundancy and recoverability.
· Strong knowledge of Citrix systems through XenServer 5.6, XenApp 4.5, Web Interface, and Microsoft operating systems through 2008. A Citrix CCA certification is recommended.
· In-depth product knowledge, including implementation of advanced features and additional functions such as monitoring, optimizing and troubleshooting XenApp 5.
· Manage the design, deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of all Citrix systems. XenApp, XenServer, XenDesktop, CAGs and Net Scalars.
· Manage the design, deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of all Virtual Server Hosting systems.
· Benchmark, analyze, and report on the Windows infrastructure and systems.
· Good Knowledge on Xen App, Licensing, Application server and Application Publishing Knowledge on installing, configuring & troubleshooting Windows based operating systems.
· Good Knowledge on Xen App, Licensing, Application server and Application Publishing Knowledge on installing, configuring & troubleshooting Windows based operating systems.
Active Directory
· Knowledge of Active Directory Infrastructure, DNS/WINS/DHCP Servers.
· Experience troubleshooting DNS/WINS name resolutions issues.
· Windows 2003, 2008, Cluster.
· Scripting Tools such as one of the following: VB Script, Javascript, Power Shell, Active Directory Scripting Interface, WMI or hta etc to write new scripts and customize scripts to support AD Migration activity and query computers.
· Experience with Migration tools with a preference using ADMT or Quest Migration Manager for AD.
· Determine the cause for an attempted security breach.
· Identify security loop holes and unauthorized access.
· Track user logons and administrator administrative activities.
· Satisfy compliance requirements like SOX etc.
· Develop management scripts as needed.
· Perform cross-platform and multi-discipline trouble-shooting, and cross-platform systems integration.
· Systems scripting and deployment experience such as PowerShell, VBS, or shell/batch
· Windows client and server administration and building/deploying images: Server 2008, and Server 2008 R2, and Administration of Windows 2008 Active Directory and infrastructure services: Group Policy, DNS, PKI/Certificates, IPSec.
· Hands-on experience on WSUS and SCCM patch management.
· Hands-on experience on GPO designing and Implementation.
Hardware
· Installation and maintenance of external monitoring tools such as Nagios, HP OV & Tivoli, SCOM. Knowledge on HP Insight.
· Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting issues with SAN/HBA/Fabric environments Technical Knowledge on SharePoint Server. Understanding of networking natting, sub-nets and VLAN able to lead discussions with client personnel.
· Working knowledge of backup operational procedures and processes.
· Preferable experience in planning, implementing & troubleshooting Disaster Recovery Manager (DRM).
· Hands-on experience on Blade and Microsoft clustering.
General
· Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving & planning skills.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
· Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team.
· Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
· Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting.
· Practice asset management for Windows hardware, software, and equipment, and ensure that asset management policies are adhered to by the team.
· Experience working in Incident/Change/Problem management tools like Remedy/HP SC.
· Ability to create and maintain positive and professional business relationship with both internal associates and external customers. Excellent interpersonal skills must be able to work effectively in a team environment.
· ITIL process understanding and preferred to have certification.
