Position : Senior SOA Project Manager

Location: Dallas, TX

Duration : 6+ Months

 

Skills :
- Excellent track record managing IT development projects using Agile methodologies/practices
- Previous experience with Infrastructure projects as well as cross department integration efforts required.
- Thorough understanding of software development life cycles and Agile methodologies
- Must have demonstrated strong oral, written and business communication skills in previous positions
- The ability to effectively communicate and work with various areas of the organization to accomplish project objectives
- Certified Agile Scrum Master highly desired
- Rally, Version One, or comparable Agile Planning tool experience a plus.
- Understanding of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) aspects.
- Experience coordinating collaboration efforts between service producers and service consumers.
- Experience working with offshore resources a plus

 

Qualifications :

The candidate must have five or more years of progressive information technology experience.
- Must have five years of end-to-end project management responsibility for large IT infrastructure projects using structured PM and system development methodologies/practices/principles with planning tools such MS Project. Agile tools such as Rally would be a plus.
- Broad experience and an understanding in a variety of computer infrastructure technologies and services, such as - networks, servers, data security, hosting and outsourcing are required.
- Certification in project management by a recognized international organization such as, the Project Management Institute (PMI PMP) is highly desired.
- Must be able to effectively communicating with all levels of management and have the ability to build strong relationships with the AA.com agile project teams, technical staff, managed service providers and other stakeholders
- Excellent time management, multi-tasking and organizational skills are a must as well as the ability to work under the pressure of deadlines in a fast-paced and changing environment.
- Expert PC skills (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and MS Project) required.
- College / Advanced Degree or equivalent project management work experience required.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
