Job Requirements
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Understanding of the operating system on which the database is running physical disk formats and layout, and their effects on database performance. Understands the impact of physical table design on
application performance. Understands monitoring and tuning, and how to implement security policies within the database. Detailed knowledge of the data dictionary, understanding of proper use of indexes,
initialization parameters and their uses, internal stored procedures and product-specific scripts. Ability to install current database products, patches and upgrades. experience in creating and debugging sql
query ⁄ stored procedures, triggers, index management, performance tuning and optimization ⁄ troubleshooting, Ability to plan product installations across the entire environment. Understanding of the
special requirements of clustered requirements.
Four year college degree (or equivalent experience) with 6-10 years relevant experience.
