Job Title :- Windows Engineer
Location :- Columbus, OH
Duration :- 6+ Months Contract
Experience Level:
Expert=Typically 7-10+ years of IT experience with 2-5 years in solution area. Deep IT industry knowledge in specific areas. Applies advanced subject matter knowledge to complex business issues, and is regarded as a subject matter expert. Works on complex problems/projects where analysis of situations or data requires an in depth evaluation of multiple factors. Exercises significant independent judgment within broadly defined policies and practices to determine best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives. Acts as an expert providing direction and guidance to process improvements and establishing policies.
Required Skills:-
Windows server management – DCs, IIS, KMS, OS installation and maintenance
Virtualization – ESX, MS, ICA
Tools – Pedestal, Sitescope, SIM, VCS, RDP, VBscript
Experience with Veritas clustering a priority –
Fluent in technologies – Active Directory,DFS, Powershell, Grid computing
Hardware – rack mount and blade technology installation
Ability to open, manage, solve and close problems with vendor support centers.
Provide lead role in various level projects and initiatives.
Disaster recovery experience and knowledge.
Performance and tuning experience.
Experience in large enterprises
Client expectation is that this person will bring Thought Leadership to the team and help grow the capability in the team
Effective relationship building skills
Demonstrated competency in Technical Writing
