Oracle Functional Support Analyst
Location : Hunterville, NC
Duration : 6 Months Contract to Hire
Requirements:
Minimal bachelor's degree from four-year College or university preferred.
Must have 5+ years' experience in Oracle technologies.
Experience supporting Oracle 10g databases, eBusiness Suite 11i, open source online and database technologies and legacy applications.
Experience supporting a few of the following Oracle modules - GL, INV, ONT, AR , AP, PO, CST, QP, WSH
Some experience in SQL and PL/SQL a plus.
The Oracle Functional Support Analyst is responsible for managing functional application bugs and the implementation of enhancements to Oracle Applications and assuring smooth ongoing operation with the Application Support Manager. The Oracle Functional Support Analyst works with the Application Support Manager to establish strategies and priorities for the overall Oracle functional application administration by analyzing and understanding the current and future industry trends in order to formulate and recommend plans to keep pace with the business and technical demands.
Responsibilities:
Managing applications bugs and enhancements: Determine when an issue is a bug that needs development attention through the development team or by opening and managing a SR with Oracle. QA Test enhancements before deployed into development.
Managing Oracle using Oracle Applications Manager (OAM).
Experience supporting a few of the following Oracle modules - GL, INV, ONT, AR , AP, PO, CST, QP, WSH
Defining and scheduling new concurrent programs and requests (including custom programs, interfaces and processes).
Assist in managing concurrent processing (including custom programs, interfaces and processes).
Write SQL queries to correct errors at the table level in production for failed orders and inventory issues.
Define and monitor Oracle Alerts.
Optimize Oracle Applications Modules and Reports.
Write custom PL/SQL procedures.
Design Workflow processes.
Manage Workflow activity.
Regular communication to CIO and senior IT management concerning project's status, potential risks, concerns, problems, and needs.
Keep abreast of new design tools, hardware, software, and technology and make recommendations for future deployment.
Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
