Title                       :               Java Technical Lead

Duration              :               4 months plus

Location               :               King of Prussia, PA

 

Job Responsibilities:

·         Responsible for the delivery of quality technical solutions on multiple projects, intimately familiar with the code being developed and how it satisfies the functional requirements

·         Develop technical estimates, work breakdown structures (WBS), design documents, implementation plans, application code, and deployment plans

·         Lead and mentor software engineers on development projects, conduct code reviews, and ensure compliance with best practices at GSI

·         Become the subject matter expert on the product, able to develop effective designs and accurate estimates for functional change requests, as well as providing level-3 production support

·         Work closely with other technical and non-technical resources to ensure the seamless integration of all project deliverables into development, QA, and production environments

·         Proactively identify impediments that will impact the development and delivery of the project, providing solutions to mitigate potential issues and work with project management to rectify them in a timely manner.

Minimum Qualifications:

·         BS degree, preferably in a Computer Science or related fields

·         Previous experience mentoring Senior Software engineers and able to effectively delegate development assignments to others

·         8+ years java servlet technology

·         5+ years development against enterprise web application server

·         5+ years object oriented design and analysis and ability to design with UML

·         5+ years' Experience with high volume transactional web sites

·         3+ years Struts, Spring MVC, or other MVC architecture

·         2+ years leading technical initiatives

·         Extensive experience with change management and code deployment methodologies

·         Extensive experience leading code and functionality reviews

·         Familiarity with Unix

·         Experience connecting to or developing web services

·         Experience managing the development of simultaneous initiatives/projects

·         Strong verbal, written & interpersonal communication skill
