Job Title : Lead DB2 DBA
Location: Madison, WI
Duration: 6+ Months
Required Skills:
Minimum of 6 years of DB2 DBA experience on z/OS.
Logical and physical database design using tools such as Erwin.
Monitoring and tuning database performance, during testing and production operations.
Database sizing/resizing, restructures and index rebuilds knowledge.
Capacity planning for future database growth; documenting benchmarks and procedures needed to optimize performance; ensuring that all performance guidelines are followed.
Assists application development staff with database questions and issues.
Tunes all the SQLs developed; Strong SQL knowledge is required.
Strong knowledge of database backup, reorg, load, repair, repair, restore and other utilities.
Team player, collaborative and supportive of a cooperative work environment
Strong communication skills required, ability to communicate both technically and to the business/application teams
Demonstrated ability to properly troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly
Preferred Skills
Experience with Oracle databases is preferred
Experience in load and performance testing is preferred
