Job Title  : Sr. Technical Analyst Java Applications

Location  : Chicago, IL

Duration  : 12Months

 

REQUIRED SKILLS: 

Description:
Sr. Technical Analyst who can work independently on multiple projects in the fast-paced Derivatives business. Will need to be a fast learner to understand current IT technologies and processes used in the team. Will need to understand and follow the Software Development Life Cycle methodology. 
Background in OTC Derivatives business reqd.
Experience in SUMMIT, COLLINE application is a plus.

Technical requirements:
JAVA
Unix and Unix scripting
Web Servers - JBOSS/Tomcat is a plus
Oracle
Windows server

Role Will need to:
- work with the business and other IT teams to finalize Requirements
- work within the team and with other IT teams to design optimal solution
- provide timely and accurate estimates
- work with Developers, both on-shore and offshore
- monitor progress of coding and unit testing effort,
- plan, coordinate and execute Systems and Integration testing
- Help in planning of UAT
- Support, analyse and help resolve UAT issues
- Plan installation and install
- Provide Post Install support as needed
- Report up the management chain as needed.

Accurate and effective written and verbal communication needed. Determine automation needs and provide ongoing systems support. Applies assigned resources to implement cost-effective automation to meet business requirements. Directs and performs prototype systems development. Assigned to multiple projects of varying priorities and applications. Develops or maintains computer programs including designing, coding, testing, debugging, and installation as needed.
