Front-End Software Engineer experience preffered
Currently, we have an opening for a Front-End Software Engineer in our Indianapolis, IN office. You will design and develop custom web-based user interfaces integrating RESTful APIs to provide the user interface of an open platform for patient engagement in clinical research for a leading pharmaceutical company. The responsibilities include: participating on the design of user interfaces and information architecture for several applications, participating in the design of resource-oriented RESTful APIs, implementing web-based user interfaces, and implementing reusable UI components to be used across applications. Here are some of the skills/competencies we seek:
· Ability to understand and analyze project requirements and translate into specifications and programming deliverables;
· Ability to work with designers and software engineers to enhance existing applications while identifying emergent alternatives;
· Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. We want someone who can think broadly about solutions – offering transformational alternatives to software engineering projects;
· Desire to be a key player on a small team that is building great products for the pharmaceutical industry;
· Demonstrates professionalism and accountability while always maintaining high ethical standards.
Knowledge & Skill – (minimum proficiencies)
· Strong overall programming experience building wed-based and large scale systems required;
· Strong technical programming skills in:
o JavaScript
o HTML5 & CSS
o JSON
o RESTful APIs and HTTP
Knowledge & Skill - (preferred)
· Responsive design experience
· Test-driven development with client-side JavaScript
· Experience with Git, Github, and Amazon Web Services
· Experience with Angular.js and Karma
· Experience building API clients and API based applications
