Technical Skills
1. Should have coding experience in following technologies
• C++
• Windows Development
• Batch Script Development
• Visual Basic
2. Should have experience using below mentioned tool for development
• Visual Studio 2010+
• Visual Source Safe
3. Having below mentioned skills are added advantage
• NCR Advanced Store Designer experience
• Experience with .net Web services
Functional Skills
1. Experience in Retail environment
2. Experience in Point of Sale functionalities and features
• Register Transactions (Sales/Refund/Exchange/Void etc.,)
• Payment Methods (Credit/Debit/Check/GiftCard/PayPal etc.,)
• Price Adjustment and Deal Types
• Guest Fulfillment System, Pre-sell and Layaway
• Loyalty and Instant Credit Program
• Payment Authorization
• Understanding on Sales Audit
• POS Hardware Components
• Should have coding experience in above mentioned technologies
• Hands on knowledge of POS functionalities and hardware components
(Example: Ringing Sales and Refund transactions at POS)
• Should have good analytical skills to understand and fix existing issues
• Should be able to implement changes on his work with minimal help
• Should be able to lead/mentor junior team members
• Communication skill is highly desirable for client interaction
POS Developer
1. Participate in Design Discussion to understand the requirements
2. Analyzing existing issues to identify root cause of the reported problem
3. Coding/Development to Fix the identified issue and perform unit test
4. Maintaining (Check in/out) Source Code versions using VSS
5. Perform Internal and External Code Review
6. Build and Implement POS Package in development environment
7. Facilitate QA team to perform regressing testing
