Position : Teradata DBA
Location : Catawissa, PA
Duration : 6+ months
Teradata DBA:
Provide Database Administration support for very large databases in a Teradata environment. The ideal candidate will have a very well rounded understanding of the complete Teradata environment.
Job will include the following types of tasks
* Design, creation, and maintenance of database objects
* Physical database design
* Development of proactive processes for monitoring capacity and performance
* Perform system level and application level tuning
* Support application teams related to database application development
* Knowledgeable in UNIX shell scripting
* Adhere to Organization's standards & best practices
Preferred Qualifications:
* Bachelors Degree in a technical discipline recommended
* Excellent communication, organizational, and personal skills
* Works well in a team environment
* Database performance tuning knowledge and skills
Preferred Certifications:
* Teradata Advanced Certified Professional
* Teradata Certified Administrator (Masters)
