Job Title : Web Developer
Location : Piscataway, NJ
Duration : Contract to Hire / Full Time

 

Web Developer - Fulltime or contract-to-hire - Piscataway, NJ Command of web 2.0 technologies including AJAX, JavaScript, jQuery, JSON, DOM, CSS3, HTML5

 

The Web Developer will oversee and implement delivery of high-profile web applications that are the basis of substantial revenue. Assists project manager in development of project plans including time/cost estimates and deliverable dates.

 

Essential functions include but are not limited to:
• Reviews, analyzes, modifies, and creates applications including coding, testing, debugging, integration and installation
• Documents technical requirements for databases, applications, and technology infrastructure
• Consults with team members and business development associates to identify current industry challenges, clarify product objectives, gather requirements, and test and debug applications
• Participate in exploration of Web 2.0 and Web Services initiatives
• Provides expertise in all aspects of application and system design and application development
• Perform technical surveys of software and hardware developments

 

Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related field such as Math, Physics or Engineering required; advanced degree helpful
• Must have a minimum of 4 years programming in a commercial environment implementing search solutions
• He/she must be a technologically savvy knowledge worker who seeks out technology solutions to business challenges and stays current with programming trends
Specific technology knowledge and experience needed to produce the desired outcomes include the following:
• Command of web 2.0 technologies including AJAX, JavaScript, jQuery, JSON, DOM, CSS3, HTML5
• Experience with social networking APIs such as Facebook and Twitter
• Solid experience with XML including XPATH/XQUERY and XSLT
• Data visualization experience a plus
• Experience with J2EE, Grails, Spring and Hibernate, Web Services and SOAP
• Experience with application server, Mark Logic, Portal/ CMS, BEA WebLogic preferred
• Knowledge of Oracle or other compatible PL/SQL and SQL
• Experience with Content Management System is preferred
