Brief Description Of Assignment:---

 

The ideal candidate will have experience with the administration of multiple monitoring tools including any of the following: HP Operations Manager, HP Reporter, SolarWinds Orion, Tealeaf, HP SiteScope, HP Business Availability Center, and NetIQ AppManager. Applicant must be able to manage and administer various monitoring applications. The successful candidate must be able to work well with application developers, internal and external support teams, both offshore and internal to determine requirements for filters, events, alerts, and dashboards and reporting in various monitoring tools.

 

Primary Tasks

• Administration and maintenance of application monitoring tools (Tealeaf, SiteScope, BAC) to ensure optimal performance and functionality following standard software lifecycle processes and procedures

• Ability to trace data flow through complicated architecture including load balancers and complicated network configurations

• Creation of events, reports, and dashboards for ease of administration

• Assist application developers with requirements determination

• Assist development and Sustain teams with troubleshooting

 

Secondary Tasks

• Provide project management support as required.

 

Required Skills:

• Knowledge and hands on experience with one or more of the following: HP Operations Manager, HP Reporter, Solar Winds Orion, Tealeaf, HP SiteScope, HP Business Availability Center, and NetIQ AppManager.

• Knowledge of HTTP, HTTPS, TCP/IP, SMTP, DNS, SSH, TELNET, SNMP, FTP

• Knowledge of Web Based Applications

• Experience in application/network performance monitoring and availability

• Excellent customer service skills

• Ability to work well with offshore support teams as well as internal support teams

• Basic Windows Server Systems Administration experience

• Basic UNIX/Linux Administration experience

• Knowledge of LAN/WAN topologies

• Knowledge of shell scripting

• Excellent troubleshooting skills

• Self starter, motivated, organized, detail oriented
