Role:
.NET Developer w/POS - 6 month contract located in Plano, TX
***Those with POS (Point of Sale) will get first preference.
Required Skills:
5+ years C# .NET 2.0/3.5/COM
3+ years SOAP/WSDL
5+ years SQL Server 2000/2008
Strong in Object Oriented Design and Service Oriented Architectures
Excellent oral/written communication and problem solving skills
Preferred Skills:
Specific experience interfacing with POS peripheral devices such as cash drawers, printers, and signature capture devices is required.
Experience with Point of Sale systems and hardware including OPOS control interfaces
Diagnostics and problem isolation in production environments
Application development in a mobile environment preferred
Responsibilities:
This position will support key development activities within the Stores IT Development team on the Point of Sale (POS) application. A strong combination of Object Oriented Design practices, Service Oriented Architectures, troubleshooting, and customer interface skills are critical.
Store applications operate on a .NET 2.0/3.5 and SQL 2000/2008 architecture utilizing a combination of in-house and 3rd party developed software. Software is centrally deployed across the 36,000 registers and mobile devices.
Environment demands strong initiative, collaboration skills and independence.
