Minimum Requirements
Experience:
- Strong Amazon AWS experience with EC2, EBS, S3, VPC, and other AWS services
- Experience with VMware ESX, backup, recovery, and clustering
- Applied knowledge of system security and best practices
- Active working knowledge of Bash (advanced scripting experience a plus)
- Experience with any Subversion platform
- SAN/NAS (NetApp)
- Active working knowledge of OSI networking model, LDAP, routing, ARP, DNS, and VPN
- Experience with database platforms (i.e. PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, Interbase, Firebird, SQLite, etc.)
- Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
- Experience with automated monitoring of systems and network equipment (experience with the following software/technologies preferred: Nagios, Syslog, Splunk, Cactl and SNMP) is a plus
- Experience with Cisco network equipment (IOS, ASA) is desired
- Experience with VPN troubleshooting is desired
- Experience with Java application deployment and maintenance with JRockit, Tomcat and JBoss is desired
- Experience with reverse proxying web servers is a plus
- Experience with NSD is a plus
- Experience with Windows 2003 AD, GPOs, automated software installation, and Linux auth integration is desired
- Experience with Apache, JBoss or Oracle Application Server configuration and/or maintenance is desired
- Bachelor's degree in related area and 3-5 years experience preferred
- Will accept 6-8 years of experience in lieu of degree
Linux certification, including familiarity with Debian, Ubuntu and Red Hat
Description:
Position Objective:
This position requires an experienced Systems Administrator to implement and maintain infrastructures for COMPANY and its subsidiaries. The Systems Administrator will be responsible for managing operating systems and networks in the office as well as our data center. Additionally, the Systems Administrator should have strong experience with Amazon AWS. As Systems Administrator, you will analyze and resolve problems associated with the operating system's servers, networks, hardware, applications, and software. You will also monitor system performance and ensure compliance with security standards.
Job Requirements:
- Installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of Linux systems
- Installation and deployment of physical and virtual machines
- Configuration and deployment of Amazon AWS services
- Deployment of in-house applications
- NAS setup and maintenance
- Management of cloud technologies including Amazon AWS
- Configuration and deployment of open source web applications
