Development expertise should be in data collection and analysis back office tiers with web service interfaces for end users and other automated systems. Familiarity with core class libraries and some common open-source application frameworks is important. The right candidate is capable of interpreting technical architecture and design documents and working effectively with development leads to create tools useful to the target audience. Excellent oral and written communications skills required.
Our client is deploying an end-to-end IP video infrastructure supporting a wide suite of next-generation, interactive media products. The X1 Platform Operations organization needs to bring together business logic and data served up by the many components used in these solutions in interfaces for system configuration, real-time analysis, and problem recovery. The source components are being aggressively changed as market requirements dictate and cutting edge technologies are regularly being incorporated into the system. The ideal candidate is capable of taking technical direction, working collaboratively with a team, and devising implementations against requirements with moderate levels of oversight.
Position is a contract position with long-term opportunities determined by performance and team effectiveness.
Java:Technical Lead:
· J2SE 5/6 Core Features/Class Libraries
· Java Development Best Practices and Design Patterns
· Experience with Common Open Source/Proprietary Java Class Libraries
· Object-Relational Mapping Frameworks
· Familiarity With Java Application Servers (e.g., Tomcat, Jetty, JBoss, Glassfish)
