Position: Data Modeler

Location: Chandler, AZ

Duration: 6 months contract (with possibility of extension)

The Enterprise Technology Asset Management (ETAM) Enablement team is beginning a project to build out an Electronic Reconciliation Workspace (ERW) application leveraging the Microstrategy BI tool in order to provide our internal customer with the ability to view consolidated data about the inventory of our software assets to ensure appropriate entitlements exist for those assets; researching and resolving any fall out. We are looking for a strong data modeler, designer, and architect to lead the effort to build new databases and collaborate with both internal and external resources in this effort.

 

Requirements:

 

• 7+ years of experience in data architecture design, logical and physical data modeling and design and data security
• Demonstrated ability to analyze business and data requirements and facilitate meaningful discussions with the SMEs in order to determine the appropriate database design
• Experience loading external data into existing database structures
• Designing databases in complex environments handling a large volume of data (millions of records)
• Strong experience with the software development lifecycle
• Excellent oral and written skills
• The ability to work without direction in a fast-paced, virtual environment

 

Preferred Skills:

• Experience developing in a data warehouse environment leveraging a BI tool such as Microstrategy
• Experience with Microstrategy Transaction Services
• Experience with other types of database platforms such as Oracle
