Software Architecture/Development
- Design Technical solutions for Complex problems as needed to meet business needs.
- Identify and recommend the appropriate software architecture based on the requirements and design elements contained in a system specification.
- Design and maintain architecture for deploying applications on the Portal and mobile platforms.
- Record software architecture in a software architecture document using use cases and the Unified Modeling Language (UML).
- Maintain and evolve software architecture documents based on evolving system requirements and industry trends and technologies.
- Assist Software Designer/Implementers with the creation of detailed software design specifications.
- Provide supporting information to the Software Engineers to aid in the creation of a system specification.
- Lead the review process for software architecture documents.
- Develop channel applications (utilizing a variety of languages such as PL/SQL, Java, XML, and HTML) as requested by the user community.
- Architect single sign on (SSO) solutions for the MySandiego Portal using technologies that fit into the overall architecture and use standards established in the department.
- Assist junior or intermediate level programmers with technical programming skills as needed on various projects.
- Design Technical solutions that may involve new channels, integration using SOA and BEPL.
- Develop and support Mobile Applications in Java and in Android and iPhone native development environments.
