Must-haves 

EMC Architect Experience

Experience working in multiplevendor/multiple array shops: 3-5 petabytes 

Storage Virtualization Technologies - Vplex, VSP, Vseries, or SVC 

Storage Array performance 

Ability to conceptualize and architect environments 

Auto tiering and thin provisioning 

Plusses 

Has worked at EMC 

Vplex installations 

EMC Certified Architect

Day-to-Day 

This Senior Storage Architect will attend meetings to establish baseline projects in storage environments, troubleshoot severity one issues (which is where the performance tuning comes in), and do some storage provisioning. When a new project is presented to the company (such as a new program is getting implemented) they will architect a new environment, or make enhancements to existing environments. They will be the main point of contact for all new programs that are implemented or existing programs that need enhancements relating to architecture and designing the environment.
