Responsibilities
- Responsible for the creation and oversight of visual designs, across desktop and mobile devices.
- Responsible for the evolution and communication of the 3M.com design "portfolio", including 3M.com components, design patterns, and style guides.
- Collaborate with branding teams to ensure alignment and creative evolution of 3M.com design.
- Own the relationship with agency partner creative teams, including training, standards, and processes to ensure alignment.
- Manages input from global teams and integrates into solutions as appropriate.
- Works with CX Functional Design team to ensure technical feasibility of designs.
- Supports CX Usability & Optimization team with designs for studies as needed.
- Assists CX manager with design deliverables as needed.
- Lead design projects with agency partners as needed.
- Maintain awareness of trends and best practices in retail, commerce, and manufacturing through industry research and events.
-Conduct benchmarking and competitive analysis activities to ensure solutions utilizes industry best practices and aligns with customer norms and expectations.

- Applications - Adobe CS and Microsoft Office; Visio or OmniGraffle preferred.
- BFA/MFA Design and 5+ years of professional design experience, preferred.
- Experience designing across desktop and mobile devices is preferred.
- Experience with global design needs and considerations preferred.
- Exceptional design talent and attention to detail.
- Strong drawing skills and an ability to visualize a range of design solutions quickly.
- Able to take loose sketch ideas and develop sophisticated/polished designs.
- Deep knowledge of typography & color theory.
- Understanding of usability and optimization concepts and processes preferred.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Excellent problem solving skills.
- Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks and work under pressure.
- Portfolio is required to apply.
