Job Title:  Lead Java developer

Location: Albany, NY, US

Duration: 12 + Month + (possible chance to move long term)

 

 

Job Description:

Act as a Lead Java developer on all assigned projects.
Provide architectural direction on all assigned projects.
Ensure that the system architecture integrates hardware, software, data, and procedural system components to
satisfy system requirements.
Provide overall technical vision of various internal and customer facing software applications.
Work with key program area stakeholders to understand the business requirements for new/redesigned systems.
Articulate and communicate the architecture and key design patterns within the program areas and IT.
Collaborate with the IT and program area leads to translate program area requirements into technology requirements and recommend viable technical options.
Define the migration and implementation strategy.
Act as a Mentor in developing the skills and expertise of other IT developers on the team by performing code reviews and suggesting changes that will best fit the Program and Agency needs.

Additional requested qualifications include:
 
- Minimum 72 months experience with JAVA (version 1.4 or higher).
- Minimum 72 months experience with J2EE development.
- Minimum 12 months experience using Java, and J2EE with JDeveloper.
- Minimum 12 months experience using Java, and J2EE with Struts and Top Link.
- Minimum 12 months experience with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) practices and concepts.
- Minimum 72 months experience with Oracle RDBMS (version 9i or higher).
- Minimum 72 months experience programming business logic in stored procedures and/or middle tier.
- Minimum 72 months experience with web page tinplating frameworks in J2EE.
- Minimum 72 months experience with technology platforms for building enterprise-level distributed systems (Windows/Unix, J2EE application servers, message oriented middleware and modern n-tier server configurations).
- Minimum 72 months evaluating, recommending and/or implementing tools, technologies, designs and processes to ensure a high quality and extensible product platform.
