AppUp Validation Team needs a seasoned Linux Software Developer to help implement a world-class automated validation platform for mobile apps.
Daily Responsibilities:
The daily work in AppUp Validation Team spans the complete software lifecycle using Scrum process
Daily responsibilities include design and development of software tools to validate applications against a set of established guidelines for a new Linux based OS
Create and run unit tests
Participate in code reviews
Perform proofs of concepts and investigative software development
Help with QA as needed
Necessary Skills (Must Have):
Extensive software design and development experience in Linux (any mainstream distribution)
5+ years experience in software development using Python on Linux
5+ years experience in software development using C/C++ on Linux
5+ years combined hands-on experience in the following:
o Networking in Linux (Socket Programming, Networking Protocols, etc)
o Shell Scripting
o Inter-process communication methods
o Multithreading
5+ years experience in web software development using LAMP or other web technology stack
HTML / HTML5, CSS, Javascript
Some experience with system administration tools (native and 3rd party) in Linux
Good understanding of Database concepts, with the ability to write simple to moderately complex SQL queries and SPROCs
Sound understanding of OOP Principles and some knowledge of design patterns
Additional Skills Desired (Nice to Have):
QA and/or Test automation experience is a HUGE plus
Experience with Mobile Application Development is a big plus
Any experience with Mobile Security is highly desirable
Experience working in an Agile/SCRUM team
Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g. Amazon AWS, MS Azure, Google App Engine, etc)
