Position # 1

Job Title:  Linux Systems Administrator/Puppet Administrator  

Location:  San Francisco, CA

Duration:  12+ Months

 

THE POSITION:

The Systems Administrator is responsible for advancing the use and adoption of Puppet server automation software, as well as maintenance and implementations. 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Utilize configuration management framework (Puppet) to deploy and manage systems. 

Support Puppet Infrastructure

Serve as support for mission-critical internal applications and tools

Maintain accurate systems documentation

Provide training and guidance to internal Puppet users

 

REQUIRED SKILLS:

Puppet

Strong linux systems admin skills

Previous experience supporting a large Puppet deployment (at least 250 servers) 

3+ years experience managing Unix-like systems

Experience administering heterogeneous server environments

Experience installing and configuring Windows 2003/2008 and Unix-like systems

 

Position # 2

Job Title:  Linux Systems Administrator(Centos)

Location:  San Francisco, CA

Duration:  12+ Months

 

The key things I know they are interested in are:

General Linux (Redhat, Centos) sys admin experience

Building RPMs from scratch

Supporting JBoss and Apache application servers

Extras: Experience with Solaris, Puppet, and Akamai
