Role: SAP BW ABAP FI Consultant

Location: Santa Clara, CA

Duration: 3-6 Months

Interview: Phone, ASAP

 

Ø  This role must have experience in the upgrade process for SAP BW/ FI 7.0 to 7.3. The 7.3 update has been available for 3 years.

Ø  Local to CA will be a big plus.

 

Description

This role is to augment and support the end clients upgrade from SAP BW/FI 7.0 to 7.3.

 

Job Responsibilities:

·         Provide programming solutions to various SAP functional areas with ABAP. 

·        Develop new ABAP programs based on the business requirements provided.

·        Develop new BW programs with ABAP based on the upgrade requirements provided.                       

·        Develop technical design specifications and conduct coding and unit test.

·        Work with functional consultants for upgrade test.                                                                           

·        Track progress and closure of issues.

·        Analyze the production related issues and identify the root cause of programming error and then provide the solutions.

 

Required Skills, Attributes & Education:

·        3+ years of hands on ABAP development experience.

·        2+ full life cycle implementation and upgrade experiences.

·        ABAP BW/FI development experience in 7.0 and 7.3.

·        Strong System troubleshooting and analytical skills.

·        Broad Knowledge with some of the programming techniques (dialog programming, BDC, SAPScript and Smart Form).

·        Good working knowledge of SAP workbench development tools and performance improvement techniques.                                                                                                                                 

·        Good Knowledge of SAP business process in BW and FI.
