Job Title: Sr. Net Developer
Location: Houston TX
Duration: 3 - 6 Months +
Description:
This developer will be part of a team supporting the web application for United Express Regional Carriers Operations. This individual will apply proven communication, analytical and problem solving skills to help identify, communicate and resolve issues.
Strong ASP.Net, JavaScript, HTML, and Web services is REQUIRED.
Tasks to be Performed
Design, develop and modify software applications/systems according to specifications
• Consults with Business Analysts and business partners on potential software solutions for business specifications
• Provides support to the software development leads (Manager) during the design portion of the SDLC
• Support and troubleshoot software systems as required, optimizing performance, resolving problems, and providing follow-up on all issues and solutions
• Develop appropriate software documentation as outlined in IDF
• Complete comprehensive unit testing on all developed/enhanced software
• Works on one or more projects; may work as a project leader
• Works on moderate to complex projects
• Provides direction tools, technical and process support to less senior developers
• Demonstrate advance knowledge of SDLC processes, inputs/outputs , standards and best practices
• Demonstrate advance knowledge of development methodologies, software design and design patterns, integration standards as well as its applicability at coding and testing cycles.
• Demonstrate advance knowledge of software engineering best practices such as: versioning and versioning control, software packaging and software release management
• Demonstrate advance knowledge of the application of development domain areas and specific technologies and tool set
• May perform system related tasks such as data migration, data validation, technical consultation and assistance
Skillset Details
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS, or related experience required.
• Must be able to communicate in English both written and verbally.
• Must possess superior skills in ASP.NET and C# with minimum 5 years' experience designing and delivering technical solutions.
• Must possess superior skills in HTML and JavaScript. Proficiency in OO Analysis and Design concepts and techniques.
• Must have experience in developing Web Services, AJAX, and XML. *Experience with Oracle 10g/11g, SQL Developer
• Knowledge of Visual Studio 2005/2008/2010 – Team Foundation Server and Agile SDLC experience. *Microsoft Certifications is a plus.
