The ideal candidate will have UNIX background including Linux, and Java application(s) experience. The candidate will be responsible for analysis, design, implementation, and unit testing to produce high-quality code in their business area and will use industry best practices in a team of high-performing professionals.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Project R&D - The Middle-ware Engineer will work closely with in support of global teams in client organization
· Works closely architects, developers, database administrators, systems and network for introduction of new systems
· Must be versed in solutions for web applications and middle-ware technologies, focused on delivery of solutions
· Responsibilities include providing engineering support, ensuring best practices are followed, performing design reviews, and working with other Client technical teams on integrations with existing system
· Proficiency with the following platforms and applications is desired
o Linux, Oracle Middle-ware Stack (including Weblogic, SOA, OSB, BAM, ADF), JBoss, Mysql Databases,
· Proficiency with the following development technologies is desired
o Java, SQL, Hibernate, Lucene/Solr, Flex, HTML5, JavaScript, CSS. Applicants should be self-motivated, interested in current technology, and willing to learn.
· Level III Production Support - Manage & client websites and applications deployed across multiple landscapes spanning multiple data-centers
· Work with operation support teams to troubleshoot and resolve Sev1 and Sev2 incidents.
· Provide senior level consulting services to development and systems support teams.
· Responsible for development, review and approval of future state middleware architectures in an organized and cohesive manner using industry accepted frameworks
· Understands, applies and leads the creation of architecture principles in the context of a multiple IT solutions
Related work experience
· 10+ years' experience working with UNIX and Internet based systems.
· Must be capable of extreme multitasking, and quick reaction time to complex problems.
· Excellent teaming skills. Resourceful and self-starter with minimal hand holding required
Skills
· Application Development using Java, PHP, .Net platforms
· SQL Development and Performance Tuning
· ITTL experience a plus
· Experienced with Oracle Fusion SOA framework and other SOA frameworks such as JBoss
Competencies
o Redhat Unix 5.x, 6.x
o Hands-on experience in various key product groups in Oracle FMW such as
§ SOA Suite, BPM Suite, SOA Governance, AIA Foundation PackWeblogic 10.x, 11.x
o Should have complete understanding of :-
§ Java/J2EE n-Tier architectures, WebServices standards, Integration Design Patterns, SOA Standards, SOA Governance Standards (e.g. UDDI, OER, etc.).Adobe CQ 5.5
o Exposure to agile development methodologies
