Position: Sr. Java Consultant (ecommerce)
Location: New York , NY
Duration: 6 months
Most important - Core Java Fundamentals and Spring Framework.
After Telephonic F2F is a must...no Skype
Required skills:
· LOCAL candidates, no one that has to relocate
· Computer Science degree (Master's from large US Institutions is preferred, US education ingeneral is preferred). No other majors will be considered.
· STRONG COMMUNICATION REQUIRED!!! No one that I would rate less than a "9" out of 10 will be submitted to client.
· Formal e-Commerce experience is preferred, but candidates with background at large companies using highly transactional applications are fine as well.
· Phone Screen is very technical, F2F will be themed around problem solving (in front of white board). F2F is a must...no Skype.

Job Duties:
The Software Engineer will be responsible for communicating complex concepts in a concise manner to technical and non-technical staff; leading technical project development initiatives; proposing efficient technical solutions; developing internet and distributed applications using Microsoft .Net technologies; communicating status effectively with IT management; assisting the development manager with task management and estimation; programming using C# and Ruby programming languages; developing database solutions using Microsoft SQL Server 2008 and MySQL; programming through the use of JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX and JSON; building web services using the Microsoft WCF framework; using the Microsoft MVC Framework; working with LINQ (LINQ-to-Objects, LINQ-to-SQL, etc.); building web sites using the DotNetNuke CMS; becoming a subject matter expert on the projects they work on, allowing other IT members to look to them as a knowledgeable member of the team. Work schedule is Monday through Friday; 40 hours per week; 9 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Minimum Requirements:
A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a directly related field, plus five years of experience developing internet and distributed applications using Microsoft .Net technologies and a minimum of 2 years of experience using Ruby and Ruby On Rails. The four years of experience must include the following: (1) four years of experience with C# programming languages; (2) four years of experience developing database solutions using Microsoft SQL Server 2008; (3) three years of experience in programming through the use of JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX and JSON; (4) experience in building web services using the Microsoft WCF framework; (5) experience using the Microsoft MVC Framework; (6) experience using LINQ (LINQ-to-Objects, LINQ-to-SQL, etc.); (7) two years of experience working with Ruby (v1.8.7 and higher) and Ruby On Rails (v2.2.2 and higher) and (8) one and half years experience building web sites using the DotNetNuke CMS framework.
