Location: Jersey City,New Jersey

Duration: 6+Months

Job Description:

Need a mid-level UI developer:

This candidate will be working on various projects in the property and casualty industry. All candidates must be strong object oriented programmers with a background of a heavy focus in UI/UX design. Experience should include interactive prototypes/skeletons in HTML/CSS/JavaScript. This candidate must have the following qualifications:

· Project Requirements:

1. HTML

2. CSS

3. JavaScript

4. JQuery

· Basic Requirements:

1. 4+ years experience with server side object oriented (OO) programming (JAVA or .NET [C#])

2. Expert level skills in HTML 4/CSS 2/jQuery

3. Uses jQuery UI/jQuery Tools or other major jQuery plugins

4. Hands on experience with DOM, W3C Standards, Browser Standards

5. AJAX and JSON against web services (SOAP/RESTful)

6. Client side debugging using Firebug, Chrome Web Developer, Fiddler, and etc.

7. Basic image manipulation in Photoshop/Illustrator

8. An eye for design, balance, and color

9. UX experience and ability to defend designs

10. Good communication skills

11. Ability to collaborate in a team,  Someone who takes initiative instead of waiting for work to be assigned.   Someone who participates in discussions and who isn't afraid to have and state opinions.

· Nice to have:

1. Portfolio of any design / external website work

2. Google API experience (GWT, Google Maps, Google Earth)

3. HTML5/CSS3 real world experience (Local Storage/Web Sockets)

4. UI Patterns (Mobile First, Responsive Web Design)

5. Mobile Frameworks (Titanium, PhoneGap, Sencha).
