Mobile Quality Assurance Engineer

Position: Mobile Quality Assurance Engineer
Location: San Bruno, CA
Duration: 6 months Contract to Hire    
Openings: 1
Target Start Date: ASAP

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field and 2 years experience testing scalable ecommerce applications or mobile software OR
Masters Degree in Computer Science or related field and 1 year experience testing scalable ecommerce applications or mobile software OR 6
years experience in testing ecommerce solutions or mobile software

Preferred Qualifications

• Must have at least 5+ years of testing experience in large scale e-commerce applications with 3+ years of experience on Mobile platforms. Preferably have experience in Retail space.
• Experience testing Mobile web applications on IOS and Android platforms.
• Expertise in testing mobile applications using Emulators and Real Devices and debugging Native application code using X-Code and Android SDK. Testing using commercial tools such as Device Anywhere is preferable.
• Experience testing Mobile applications built with Service Oriented Architecture a plus. Knowledge and understanding of testing REST or SOAP based Web-services, using any tool (eg: SoapUI) is preferable.
• Experience with server configuration, environment setup and debugging skills. Good understanding of web based service-level interaction, able to debug/trace low level HTTP(s) data interchange.
• Thorough orientation in RDBMS concepts, SQL, stored procedures, and awareness of schema and data optimization principles. Experience with Oracle a plus.
• Highly proficient in a Unix/Linux environment. Knowledge of any scripting language a plus.
• Excellent knowledge of Internet/Web technologies, such as web browsers, Java, AJAX, HTTP, HTML/XML, JavaScript , CSS, XSL/XSLT, XPATH etc.
• Passion for testing and the ability to work independently on diverse problems and resolve testing challenges on a daily basis.
• Good understanding of latest trends in Quality Assurance processes and methodologies.
• Knowledge of QA tools including bug/defect tracking systems; such as Jira, Quality Center etc.
• BS in computer science or equivalent. MS is preferable
• Experience with building or participating in implementing test automation frameworks using open source tools such as SoapUI, Robotium, Selenium, and Native Driver etc for Mobile applications.
• Knowledge and/or Experience of any Programming or Scripting Language (java, ruby, python).
• Experience with configuring or implementing Build or Release Management tools
