POSITION : TECHNICAL PROGRAM MANAGER
LOCATION : SUNNYVALE, CA
DURATION : 1+ YEAR
Main Skills : Data Centre, Integrator Project, Deployment, Insudent management
Program Manager will be responsible for managing, prioritizing and successfully executing multiple concurrent service integration projects
• Coordinating the activities of the team to deliver according to the project schedule, process and technology integration into the SVOC which includes monitoring, alerting, ticketing, communication, escalation, determines the who, what, when and how of integrating new services into the Silicon Valley Operations Center
• Designs and implements custom processes ? Incident Management, Crisis Management, Change and Problem Management and tools for the same
• Provides ongoing program management support of the Business Group's Engineers
• Working with Ops center personnel, service owners, product groups, development teams, engineering, vendors, and others to improve key operational metrics (Quality, Customer Sat, etc.)
• Ability to compile and analyze statistical data and present trends, gaps, action plans to exec management
• Maintaining project status, communication and reporting on projects to customers and mgmt.
• Initiating projects via cross-organizational channels, assign resources to manage cost, schedule and performance of component projects, while working to ensure the ultimate success and acceptance of the Infrastructure Deployment program.
• Aligning program scope with strategic business objectives, and making recommendations to modify the program to enhance effectiveness toward the business result or strategic intent.
• Determining and coordinating the sharing of resources among the constituent projects to the overall benefit of the program.
Qualifications:
• Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) is top priority
• Strong project and program management skills. MS Project, MS Visio experience is must.
• Prior experience as an engineer or project manager in network operations centers is highly preferred
• Basic understanding of online services, architecture or storage technologies is preferred but not required.
Operations infrastructure and supply chain experience in one or more of the following area:
• Network, hardware, OS, Security a strong plus.
• Breadth of knowledge in technologies related to Windows Server 2003/2008, Unix, Oracle, MS SQL, Apache, IIS, Active Directory, Networking (TCP/IP, load balancing, DNS, ACL, routing)
• Strong data analysis and results reporting skills ? Excel experience is a must. Experience in SQL Reporting, Jasper etc is nice to have
• A minimum of 5+ years of demonstrated work experience in related field
• Must have solid problem analysis skills and be able to multi-task on several projects at once
• Must be a team player who is self-motivated, showing initiative and taking ownership of issues, vigorously pursuing them to resolution
• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, IT, MIS or equivalent experience is preferred
