Unix Batch Programmer ; Rate : $40/hr

Location : Austin TX            

Duration : 2 Yrs

 Support day to day Batch operations for a large Production System.
 Build, maintain and monitor daily Batch schedules using a scheduling tool.
 Develop utility scripts & debug ADHOC Unix scripts, perform file transfers between Unix & windows system.
 Develop queries to fetch data from several DB tables to generate on request data for analysis.
 Identify exceptions by scanning the logs & provide appropriate details to the on-call developers/DBAs to resolve job failures in a timely manner.
 Understand java code to perform initial analysis & assist developer in making minor changes to the code.
 Work in rotating shifts including night shift & also work on weekend once a month.
