Position: QA Analyst
Location: Chandler, AZ   

Duration: 6 months contract (with possibility of extension up to 18 months)

Position Description:

Senior / lead level position to partner with existing Application Lead for coordination and execution of all quality assurance testing activities related to multiple projects. Resource will have to determine the application landscape; understand existing test bed (if any), understand the new requirements and specifications; determine complete scope, complexity and size of testing effort, possibly assign work out to subordinate testers, develop and execute test cases; ensure compliance with testing best practices and standards; report on QA status to the project team and upper management.

Minimum Requirements:

• 7 to 10 years experience in the software QA and/or Development, with experience working on 3  or more projects from requirements inception to product release
• Experience with testing web-based applications developed in J2EE (Java) and/or .NET framework
• Proven success in testing large scale, multi-tiered, integrated systems.
• Strong understanding of Oracle, DB2, SQL Server databases and constructing/executing SQL queries
• Experience with Data Migration Testing, ETL and/or Data Warehouse testing
• Experience with Windows and UNIX (Sun Solaris/HP/Linux) server navigation
• Experience running batch commands, scheduled jobs, and reviewing output, logs, etc. on each platform.
• Experienced with Mercury Test Management tools (Quality Center, Test Director) and Rational Clear Quest Defect Tracking tool, or similar defect tracking tools.
• Project management (ensure that ambiguity reviews, test plans, and scripts are complete and accurate and that testing is executed on-time and within budget).
• Process management (insure that testing is performed in a consistent and traceable manner).
• Ability to work in cross-functional teams across multiple levels of the organization.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

          Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with testing applications hosted on IBM Filenet document management / records management infrastructure
• Familiarity with XML and web services testing HP Quick Test Pro test case automation experience (beyond simple record and playback methodology)
• Financial Services Industry experience.
• Education: BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
