We have an urgent requirement as follows:

 

Position: Sr Embedded Software Engineer

Location: Plano Texas

Duration: 6 To 12 Months

Start Date: Immediate

    

Duties and Responsibilities:

            

·         Work with product managers to capture requirements and develop specifications for system infrastructure

·         Work with cross functional team to develop product architecture that integrates appropriate technologies in accordance with design goals and business requirements

·         Design and implement major portions of software using appropriate tools and technologies

 

Skills

·         Bachelor's Degree in computer science or related field

·         Strong programming in C  is required.

·         Familiarity with Linux and open source development tool chains

·         Experience with management of network security equipment

·         Experience with web-based user interface design

·         Experience delivering embedded applications in Linux and VxWorks

·         Ideally knowledge of networking protocols and network security technologies such as Firewall, VPN and Intrusion Prevention.

·         Experience with security, hardening and serviceability requirements

·         Experience with Iterative development methodologies (Agile/Scrum) is desired.

·         An open and collaborative mindset suited to a high performing team.

·         Strong communication skills - both written and verbal.

        ·         A customer-driven perspective
