Job Title: Linux Administrator

Location: Dallas, TX, CO, NE, AZ, NJ, GA or NC

Duration: 3 months

 

Job Description:

UNIX Services supports the day-to-day operations of Infocrossing customer's LINUX/UNIX servers.  This includes both proactive and reactive management. The qualified candidate will be required to perform on-call

work as well as project related work that would require off hours support and possibly travel based on the customer's needs.

 

Required Skills:

Provide systems administration for customer LINUX servers

Implement and support high availability configuration of LINUX systems

Analyze system performance

Develop (shell and Perl scripting) system tools and utilities to simplify and support IT and business operations

Plan, implement and manage systems initiatives with IT and customer teams

Establish & maintain technical standards & server security policies

Patch LINUX servers on scheduled basis

Candidate must be able to communicate technical issues in terms that many audiences can understand (communications to customer)

Candidate will be required to provide updates and status to customers

Participate in the on-call rotation.

LINUX System Administrator (5 years + of experience)

High Availability experience with Veritas Cluster Service

LINUX 9 and 10, including installation, configuration and end user support

Experience working with SAN attached disk on LINUX 9 and 10

Solid volume management experience (ZFS, SVM and/or Veritas Storage Foundation)

Working knowledge and expertise of Sun virtualization technologies including Logical Domains and Containers

Understanding of TCP/IP network configuration

Must be experienced with LINUX patch management process

Must be able to configure and troubleshoot the print services subsystem

Working experience in business critical production data center environment
