Job title: Reporting Analyst

Start Date: ASAP

Location: San Jose, CA

Duration: 3 - 6months

 

Responsibility –

 

1.      Role is primarily own and be responsible for development of an excel based Package for Higher management.

2.      Coordinate with Finance Controllers for requirement gathering and project planning.

3.      Develop the package as per plan and get it reviewed with Finance managers.

4.      Excellent understanding of excel based automation and reporting techniques.

5.      Should be a quick learner and self-starter.

6.      Proactively create reusable code.

7.      Adhere and Review Code Quality.

8.      Create Documentation.

9.      Experience on working with the dual shore model will be a plus.

10.  Excellent communication skills.

11.  Prior Cisco experience and knowledge of tools like EssBase is good to have.

 

 

Project Description – Info and Analysis package is a high visibility package that needs to be developed for Finance VP's. This is a profitability package which will be reviewed in Board meeting of Finance VP's. Will require extensive interaction with Finance team for requirement gathering and scoping.

 

*Work experience & skills (Mandatory)

Essential (including minimum exp. required for each skills)	Desirable
1.      Spreadsheet Report design 2.      Strong VBA skills to build interactive spreadsheet reports. 3.      Advanced Excel skills like creating formula based report templates, well versed with Excel features like Pivots and Graphs and data connectivity with external data source. 4.      Knowledge of various Automation techniques like excel based automation, automation using a tool, database based automation etc. 5.      Deep understanding of Automation to deploy the best automation technique that would suit the report 6.      Oracle PL/SQL 7.      MS Access 8.      Project Management Skills & Status Updates 9.      Data Analysis and Simplification 10.  Building Proof Of concepts – Mock Ups based on Analysis 11.  Ability to solve complex problems	1.      Hyperion, ESSbase report skills 2.      Business Objects Query build 3.      Prior Cisco Experience 4.      Knowledge of BO universe like FinBI 5.      Finance background
Good verbal and written communication skills	onshore/offshore experience
