Position : SQL DBA
Location : CORAL GABLES, FL

Must:
Excellent technical judgment based on at least 3 years of continuous and intensive hands-on DBA experience with both SQL Server 2005 and SQL Server 2008
Extensive working knowledge of operational/production DB support tasks including backup/recovery, user rights provisioning, index re-orgs, process monitoring, etc
Expertise troubleshooting performance issues at the server, DB, and SQL/query level
Strong personal initiative and advanced problem analysis skills.
Positive customer service skills complimented by an elevated sense of accountability and urgency.
Structured work philosophy founded on strict adherence to corporate direction and change management policy as well as a genuine appreciation for data

Role
They get about a dozen tickets and will be working on some operations, project based, and development support depending on needs. Thye will be analyzing issues and will be assigned projects depending on priority (some of the projects are rolling out a TD, SQL2005 to 2008 upgrade migration, performance optimization of financial servers. They will also be answering development questions as needed and coding deployment on accassion (they're going automatic soon). Intangibles in this role are high in determining who they will hire because of the nature of the financial business and team work. It's important to understand T-SQL, not on a writing level, just to give guidance on optimization on scalability and performance, being able to look at a query and recognize there are problems and most important why so that they know how to fix it.
